Short Description : This conference will be hosted by the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Dr Alan Sangster (editor, AE) has been invited by the SAAA Exco to attend this conference. Alan will also be visiting some campuses across the country during his visit to South Africa at that time, sharing his experience of what editors are looking for when reviewing papers submitted to a journal. The SAAA is proud to announce that, in collaboration with the Accounting Education journal, the SAAA T&L conference includes a call for papers for the special issue of Accounting Education in Africa. Thus, the call for papers for the SAAA T&L conference calls for abstracts and/or papers to be submitted to three tracks, as follows: • Track 1: “Show and tell” postcards • Track 2: Paper for conference proceedings • Track 3: Paper submission to special issue of AE journal Details of the considerations for submissions to and outcomes of these three tracks are set out in the attached SAAA T&L 2016 conference 2nd call for papers.

Short Description : Objective of conference: The SAAA Western Cape Regional Conference aims to contribute towards the achievement of the SAAA vision of promoting excellence in Accountancy Higher Education and Research in Southern Africa. By providing a regional research and information sharing platform, academics can play an active and leading role in the Accountancy Professions in the regional context. All refereed papers were submitted to two independent experts within an independent, South African University for blind review.

Short Description : The 2013 SAAA International Conference was presented in partnership with the IAAER. All papers were subject a process of rigorous double blind review and as a consequence only submissions of an acceptable level were presented in the refereed section. The accepted papers were absorbed in the conference proceedings and ISBN number 978-0-620-50389-1 was issued.

Short Description : The African Accounting and Finance Association (AAFA) Conference brings together established scholars, early career researchers, graduate students, policy makers, professional bodies and practitioners to debate on contemporary issues in accounting and finance. This is the AAFA’s flagship event and our 2015 conference, co-organised with the University of Mauritius, builds on previous successful conferences in Ghana (Accra, 2011), Abuja (Nigeria, 2012), Kampala (Uganda, 2013) and Cape Town (South Africa, 2014). The conference invites conceptual, empirical research, and country case study presentations in all areas of accounting and finance. Paper submissions and presentations must address both the theoretical and practical implications of the findings. Parallel tracks of refereed presentations will enable authors to obtain constructive feedback on their study and selected papers will be invited for consideration to special issue in affiliated journals. Finally, in addition to a high quality and enriching research experience, we will also provide delegates with the opportunity to explore the idyllic island of Mauritius.
